Being green? me?

Hello classmates, the topic today is about my environmental practices. I have never received this kind of education in my school, and right now the only thing I can remember about is my parents telling me that I can’t throw trash out in street or someplace, that I can only throw it into a dustbin. That’s why I have never done that kind of things, I must find a dustbin, if I don’t do that I feel sooooo dirty and devil, such a strange thing, don’t you think?

Well, that drove me to be very careful on my own, so I started to think how to reuse something, so that way I won’t waste money and at the same time I’ll help the world to stay a little cleaner! This behaviour is even stronger now, because I have a little brother who I want to teach about (and because of that I can’t be inconsistent) and also because of me living alone, I must be economic, I MUST SURVIVE IN THIS CRUEL WORLD!! (?) So if I have something useful to be reuse in anyway, I will use it. It’s funny because I like artistic things, so I use to paint those things or make them up to be beautiful, it’s like an art attack time!

Some time ago I wanted to join to Greenpeace but in the end, I didn’t because I had to pay for it and at that time I didn’t have money. You know, being green isn’t only about take care of plants or being vegetarian (I’m not, by the way), it includes animals, because all living beings are useful to keep the world in balance, and we’re killing them unnecessarily and also for fun, this is not how it was supposed to be!

I use my legs to move closer to places, I would like to use a bike but I don’t have one, neither do I have a car. The last one is too expensive for me. I want to have a bike, it’s so funny going quickly to someplace, doing exercise, without contaminating and being able to feel the wind in your face during summer, all those things at the same time. But well, I’m also a little afraid of cars, that’s why I haven’t bought any, though I have the money.

Here in Santiago, in Ñuñoa at least, people do care a bit more of trees and grass than people in Temuco. I suppose it’s because they are surrounded by gray things, and a little of green makes them feel happy? I don’t know, but all the Santiago citizens I know do like nature. Even so, it’s kind of ironic, because though people think that way, they still live in one of the most polluted cities. You can see the pollution, it’s so horrible and disgusting. And it’s such an obviously thing that a city is made by the people living there. If they really want to live in a better place, cleaner I mean, they already must have done something.

Eeeeeeeeeew, how can I be living here?! Dx

What do you think about the last thing?
