Hi everyone, now I’ll make something I should have done in the first post, introducing myself! Yes, sorry guys, I’m doing it at the last, how embarracing >_<
Well, my name is Patricia, I bore in Temuco, Chile, but now I’m studing psychology in Santiago (: I want to be a good psychologyst ^^ Even if it’s really hard now, someday I’ll do.
I have a little brother, and I really really love him, because he’s just 8, he’s so little, and cute and… aaw! He still calls me “hermanita”, and when we talk on the phone, he always says “I miss you” or “I love you”. He is the most important person for me now. Of course I love my parents too, but my little brother is special *---*
Oh, I love drawing, cooking, eating (this this this!), singing, painting, listening to music, reading fanfics, making puzzles (I really olove this, it’s so funny), playing sudoku and making wordsearchs… aaaah, I really enjoy doing this things XD Some people thinks this is strange for someone like me, but I don’t care, I like this and that’s all :D
I have a dream, it’s travel to Japan (just to eat x’DDD), well that’s not a dream but a goal. Mmm… my dream is to be someone who can help other people and make them happy :’D
Oops, I can’t think about anything right now, sorry ):
That was a little of me c:

Sasaeng fans
This is strange, but one of the reasons why I'm studying psychology is because two years ago I released of some “fans”, yes, those persons who are fanatics about something or someone. The type of fan that I knew were the extreme fans of korean music (if you can remember, I like that music). They were so crazy!! Even now I can’t undertand how can they be like that. In Korea, this type of fans are called Sasaeng fan, which means stalker, the most of them are women.
I’ll tell you some of the things they made to show their love. Some of they send letters to the artists, but these were write with their period blood (eew!), other fans hit the artists because that will make them remember those fans (yesterday I saw a picture of one of they crying in the floor, afraid of the saesang around him, I feel so bad for him). This fans follow them wherever they go, they even enter to their house and stole personal things or try to kiss him while they’re sleeping. They, somehow, get their number and call them all the day.

| Can you see those person in the back? They're saesangs. |
When I think about this, I feel a little afraid, but at the same time this is something very interesting (but not for the artists who suffer this), Why do they do that? They can’t understand what are they doing to the person they “love”? Don’t they know that this kind of thing are horribles? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
So, as a psychologist I will study them, I’m sure I will know the answers… someday. Yes, I’m sure.
Here you are a video of an interview to one of this fans, it's... perturbing.
What do you thing about this fans? D:
My blogging experience
It was a big deal, I’m good at reading in English, but I wasn’t that good at writing it. It was fun, as I said before, it was a deal for me.
Now, thanks to this I dared to write my opinion in international forums, writing more than expected! So I think that blogging helped me to improve my confidence in English, it was like taking a risk, even if I made a lot of mistakes, I really really tried to do my best writing what was in my mind.
Sometimes it was very dificult, because I used to confuse words in Spanish and English, maybe I wrote a lot of sentences in English but in the Spanish order. I feel sorry for that, it wasn’t my intention, even now this thing keeps happening to me, less than before, but it happens. So I can’t see my own mistakes most of the time.
But there are two things that I think are bad about this activity.
First, sometimes there were topics which I wasn’t interested, so it was a quit dificult finish the post on time, and also write coments in others blogs.
Second, It’d be good if each post were check out the next week we have to write another entrance, so I could try to improve the things were I was wrong :/But, well, I enjoy this!

Chinese...NO! Japanese~
![]() |
| This characters are kanjis, read and you will know what it's :) |
How are you today? I’m sooo sleepy, I would like to be the sleeping beauty and sleep for 100 years… or until I can’t be tired anymore!
Whatever, sure you were surprised when you see that image, maybe you tought “What’s that?!” “Is that a Chinese word?”… well, no. What you saw there was “Japanese”, that’s te topic for today.
When I was just a little child, my parents went to work everyday so I used to be alone in home, I loved watching tv’s programs, like Doraemon, Digimon, Pokemon, Sakura Card Captor, Conan Detective, Dragon Ball, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc. Because of that nowadays I love drawing anime’s style, watching anime or doramas (soap opera), and… learning japanese.
I’ve watched anime a lot, that’s why japanse isn’t difficult for me. One day I released I could understand a little of what the characters were saying (I was watching that episode without subtitles because I couldn’t wait for them)… I felt so proud of myself, I was so happy x’DDDDD
So I started looking for webs which could teach me a little of japanese (Here is a good one: http://marcjapan.wordpress.com/) and then… I found someone, a Japanese sir who could teach me the language face to face! I miss him very much now, because he lives in Temuco, and now I’m living here in Santiago because I’m studying here :c
But, what I’m going to tell you is something very simple. I’ll explain you about the tree Japanese’s alphabets.
The first alphabet which Japaneses learn is Hiragana. To me, this is very simple and cute.
The second alphabet is the same but it is used for foreing words, I don’t like it because it’s ugly (though I know it all). Lately it’s also used when people want to resalt a name or a word in japanese, in eneglish, for example, small letter is hiragana and capital letter is katakana (without using a foreing word): “I really LOVE ice cream!”
And, at least we can find Kanjis, they are Chinese characters (that’s why a lot of people says it’s Chinese), and Japaneses uses it because they can write more in less space. Kanjis can be writen in hiragana and katakana, but it is like wasting time, look:
Word: Enjoy.
Hiragana: たのしむ
Katakana: (I can’t find the characters, but they take up the same space)
Kanji: 楽しむ
Can you see? Somehow, using kanji is economic. Well, I don’t like them very much because they’re really hard to learn, you just can’t do it, you have to follow steps, one by one just in one way. I think a lot of kanjis are really beautiful, but when I have to write them I stop thinking they’re like that. Even so, there are some kanjis which are really easy to draw, for example “day” is “日”.
I think that’s all today, I wrote a lot! Sorry, it's hard trying to explain this as easy as I can. Did you understand something? XD
Have a nice day!!

About "Attachment"
One of the most important and interesting topics in the study of psychology is the “Attachment”. First of all, what is the attachment? It’s a bond formed in our childhood with our parents or people who are closed to us wich have influence on the way we will relate to other people later.
Currently, the most accepted approach was developed by John Bowlby in 1969, he was a psychologist, psychiatrist and a doctor in London. Because of his own past, he was very interest in the affective relation between a child and his parents.
The most important contribution, and the reason why he’s so famous even now, is his attachment theory. This theory was influenced by ethology (this is strange because Bowlby was psychoanalyst). He said that attachment is an instinctive behaviour with a clear adaptative value, and the purpose of this behavior is to reach an emotional state of security. Another contribution that he made was stablish 4 sistems related each other, they are: Attachment behaviour, exploration, stranger’s afraid and the affiliative sistem.
I knew about him because I have to make an investigation, and my group and I chose the topic of attachment, wich include John Bowlby and his theory.
I haven’t found another theory, this fact shows us that his theory is very important.
What do you think about him? To me, he’s like a genious after read about him!
